Zines
The following are zines I’ve created between 2018 and 2019. A zine is essentially a self-published piece of work in booklet format. It can cover various topics and include many media types (photos, stories, collages, comics, etc).
I’ve made zines (without realizing it) since I was a kid. Regardless, they all consist of comics, short stories, poems, and fake advertisements I’ve dreamt up over the years. They are mostly goofy but peppered with satire and observations of late 20th and early 21st-century American culture.
So far, I’ve exhibited at zine and comic festivals in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Austin, and Houston. I try and exhibit as much as possible, but haven’t been as active since the pandemic.
